Meet Dr. Hanson
Dr. Hanson was raised and educated in Boise, Idaho. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 1980 and then attended the School of Dentistry at Creighton as well, graduating from Dental School in 1984.
Upon graduation, Dr. Hanson returned to Boise to begin his practice of general dentistry. Throughout his career, Dr. Hanson has participated in numerous continuing education courses.
Dr. Hanson has served the dental community as secretary of the Southwest Idaho Dental Society and as Vice President and President of the Idaho Academy of General Dentistry. He has also been the Idaho delegate to the Annual Academy of General Dentistry meetings for several years. In August 2006, Dr. Hanson received the prestigious Mastership Award. The mastership award is the highest honor in the AGD and one of the most respected designations in the profession. This accomplishment meets the highest criteria for professional excellence. To accomplish this, Dr. Hanson completed 1,100 hours of continuing dental education in the 16 disciplines of dentistry, including 400 hours dedicated to hand-on skills and techniques. As a recipient of this award, Dr. Hanson has joined over 2,200 general dentists. At this time, Dr. Hanson is only Idaho general dentist who had received this award.
